This series is based on a favorite fairytale “At the Back of the North Wind” by Scottish author George MacDonald, which was originally collected as a novel with few illustrations. This is intended to be a visual celebration of the tale’s overall spirit by taking the most intriguing scenes and dialogue and converting it into a picture book sequence. Ideally it would serve as a companion to MacDonald’s novel, as a gateway for readers to rediscover the original story.
